Strategic Planning: StandBy - Support After Suicide
Beacon Strategies partnered with StandBy to reset their strategic direction in response to changes in StandBy’s external operating environment. Beacon Strategies undertook a tailored strategic planning approach that aligned with StandBy’s organisational values.
Carer Support for Individuals Experiencing a Suicidal Crisis: Queensland Health
The project involves the development, testing and evaluation of a multi-modal place-based model of support for individuals caring for people experiencing a suicidal crisis. The program was part of the broader Suicide Prevention in Health Services Initiative which aimed to identify and translate the evidence base for suicide prevention in the health service delivery context.
Senior Financial Protection Service Community Education: Relationships Australia Queensland (RAQ)
Beacon Strategies supported Relationships Australia Queensland to plan and deliver community education as part of the Senior Financial Protection Service. As a result of COVID-19, the program involved primarily digital engagement such as videos, webinars, online resources and email marketing to help connect with older people and their communities and raise awareness around recognising and responding to financial elder abuse.
Service Model Redesign: Paradise Kids
The Paradise Kids service model redesign project saw Beacon Strategies partner with Wesley Mission Queensland to develop an evidence based, holistic and financially sustainable child and health service hub.
Business Development Support: Open Minds
Beacon Strategies partnered with Open Minds to assist them with business development activities, by providing Open Minds access to our online Business Development Pipeline (BD Pipeline). Through the BD Pipeline, Beacon Strategies researched, identified and then notified Open Minds of upcoming grant and tender opportunities that matched Open Minds’ strategic direction and existing service offerings.
Suicide Prevention Digital Tool scoping project: Thompson Institute
Beacon Strategies are partnering with The Sunshine Coast Mind and Neuroscience- Thompson Institute to scope the development of a suicide prevention tool which aims to support people in the community whose role potentially brings them in contact with people at risk of suicide.
