Business Development Support: Open Minds
Beacon Strategies partnered with Open Minds to assist them with business development activities, by providing Open Minds access to our online Business Development Pipeline (BD Pipeline). Through the BD Pipeline, Beacon Strategies researched, identified and then notified Open Minds of upcoming grant and tender opportunities that matched Open Minds’ strategic direction and existing service offerings.
Suicide Prevention Digital Tool scoping project: Thompson Institute
Beacon Strategies are partnering with The Sunshine Coast Mind and Neuroscience- Thompson Institute to scope the development of a suicide prevention tool which aims to support people in the community whose role potentially brings them in contact with people at risk of suicide.
Developing a Mental Health Practice Framework: Wesley Mission Queensland
The purpose of the project is to develop and support the implementation of an organisational Mental Health Practice Framework to guide practice relating to holistic mental health and wellbeing across the lifespan of all Wesley Mission Queensland (WMQ) clients and services.
Evaluation of the Managing Spontaneous Volunteers Project: Northern Rivers Community Gateway
Beacon Strategies are partnering with NRCG to evaluate the Managing Spontaneous Volunteers Project which aims to build the capacity of the local community to respond to disaster events under a coordinated model that integrates with the formal emergency management system, following learnings from the 2017 Northern Rivers (Lismore) flood event.
Evaluating the Community Living Support (CLS) Program: Open Minds
The CLS program aims to support people living with a severe and persistent mental illness and receiving treatment to live in the community and to minimise mental health related hospital admissions. Open Minds has engaged Beacon Strategies to undertake an evaluation to demonstrate the benefits of the Portfolio positions model, extension of support platforms and the CLS program in general.
Evaluation of NewAccess Program: Belong
NewAccess is a national low intensity mental health early intervention program developed and licensed by beyondblue. The service is based on low-intensity behavioural therapy, a form of evidence-based psychotherapy that uses trained coaches to guide clients through a series of structured resources to address mental health issues identified by the person.
