Lived Experience and LGBTQIAP+ Engagement Opportunity!

In late April (the 27th to the 30th), Beacon Strategies and Roses in the Ocean will be facilitating co-design sessions to shape the future of suicide prevention in the Cairns and Hinterland region.

Co-design sessions will be held for people living in the Cairns and Hinterland region with a lived experience of experiencing suicidal crisis or attempt, caring for someone through a suicide crisis, or who have been bereaved by suicide (a series of 8 sessions - find out more here) and one for people who identify as, or work with the LGBTIQAP+ community (find out more here)

We are inviting stakeholders from these communities to offer their thoughts and insights into the current state of suicide prevention in the Cairns and Hinterland region, and how it should look in the future to achieve better outcomes for the community.

If you aren’t a part of either of these communities but would like to be involved in the project in some other way, we encourage you to use the form below to subscribe to our email list for the Cairns and Hinterland Suicide Prevention Community Action Plan Project where you will gain exclusive access to project insights, upcoming engagement opportunities and outcomes.
